The July Luncheon will kick off the Chambers celebration of the variety of International Businesses on Independence Blvd from Prospect to Chestnut Ave.

International Business Crawl
Same day and will follow the Luncheon
 Wednesday July 29, 2009.
2:30 pm. To 5 pm.

John Wood from Local Initiatives Support Corp. KC and  Scott Burnett, Jackson Co Legislator
will be present to speak at the start of the International Business Crawl at PHO 97 at 2:30 pm. Mayor, Mark Funkhouser is a tentative speaker. LISC has been working with NECC to develop& promote an International Marketplace concept in the Northeast. This ties in nicely with the Chamber’s Minority, Ethnic & Refugee business program with VISTA.

Look for National Flags in front of each participating business that day. All Businesses are within a one block walking radius.

There is NO Charge for participating in the Crawl and you do not have to be a member of the Chamber.  Please join us Wed July 29, 2009. KCPD Spanish Emersion officers will join the Crawl.

 There will be two Information tents to pick up & tally up the passports. All participating businesses will have passports the week before. Your passport will have coupons good through August 2009. They must be stamped that day at the shops to be valid.   Prizes awarded at AJ’s following the Crawl.

 “After Hours” Toast and Tally
Takes place  at AJ’s Bar 5 pm. To 7 pm. located at 2618 Independence Blvd. Parking in Snyder’s parking lot.
Snacks & appetizers from around the world provided for Crawl participants.
We will have special prizes for the most shops visited. So come join the fun !
