June 22nd Tuesday Luncheon will be held at the
Kansas City Museum 3218 Gladstone Blvd. Entry is at the back gate of the Museum. If the weather cooperates we will have a picnic lunch from Noon to 1:30 out of doors under the wisteria arbor followed with a hard-hat tour of the restoration of this 100 year old mansion and history museum. If we have rain we will meet in the Visitors Center. The museum has been closed to the public while it is being completely re-habed for future exhibits of Kansas City history and R. A. The Mayor has RSVP’d , City and County officials are invited to view their new facility too. CSL’s has made a significant investment in the East side of Independence converting the old “Millennium Club” to a state of-the-art Plasma & Medical lab.

July 20, Tuesday 6;30 pm, Candidate Forum for the 40th District candidates. This forum will be conducted by the League of Women voters, the NE Chamber and hosted by KC’s Grace Church of the Nazarene, 4300 Independence Ave. KCMO 64124. Church # 816-231-5138. This is open to the public.
July 28, Wednesday, Second Annual International Business Crawl. Lunch at Noon-1 pm. Sabor Centro Americano restaurant @ 2661 Independence Ave. KC MO & Chestnut Tfwy. Crawl will start at 2:30 to 5:00 by visiting the businesses between Prospect to Chestnut. Some new businesses will be added West from Prospect and East to Gladstone Blvd. We are looking for 25 businesses participating this year.
Stamped passports from participants will be tallied and prizes given to the most completed passports. We had close to 100 people participate by shopping at stores they did not know were on the avenue, eating at restaurants and getting to know their business neighbors.
